The Mack Granite has long been a leader in the vocational truck market. For 2023, the truck has had some refreshing updates to its long line of features.
Mack unveiled the new truck at the recent 2023 World of Concrete show this month. These improvements stay true to the Mack brand of building reliable, safe and comfortable products that help businesses maximize productivity.
The 2023 Mack Granite features a new, modern front end that includes an updated chrome grill and self-heating LED headlamps.
The new grill modernizes the look of the Granite and improves the air intake. It is available standard with a blacked out cross bar design surrounding the iconic chrome Mack badge. If you want to step up your look, you can choose to go with the all chrome cross bar and badge option.
Another aspect of the all-new front end for the Mack Granite are self-heating LED headlamps. This is a new safety feature that improves visibility both forward (by 29%) as well as peripherally (up to 50%). The headlamp units are integrated with heating elements that automatically sense the ambient temperature and engage when needed to keep ice and snow from building up in inclement weather.
They also include an anti-fog coating that prevents condensation in warmer, more humid environments.
The LED technology will fully illuminate the road and jobsite, reducing eye strain and providing operators early detection of impeding objects. The amber daytime running lights double as turn signals which make the truck more visible on the road and at the jobsite.
Housing for these new LED units are built to be long-lasting, with high impact polycarbonate lenses and protective coatings to prevent cracking scratching and damage from common job debris.
In the event of severe damage, the entire assembly is easily replaced. Mack specifically kept design of the lighting backwards compatible, so if you have an earlier model Mack Granite, you can choose to upgrade.
